I have brought two of this ropes now, one was fairly expensive and the other cheaper along with out items from ratwarehouse.
I added them to two cages one to form a walkway instead of a ladder and the other just as a hanging toy.
The one as a ladder did obviously get more use, but I wouldn’t say that the supposed chocolate smell had an attraction for the mice and at the end of the day the hanging toy became shorter and shorter as the mice took the threads for bedding, which obviously posed a danger of the threads catching around paws.
All in all I would not buy any more but this had lead me looking at the parrot perches with the same twisted thread look that screw to the bars at each end. I think these as walkways would be great for the mice if not too far off the ground, however could work out expensive to replace often due to chewing and soiling.

I’ll start off with saying these are not worth it.
I bought this rope because it was the only one I could find that was off a decent length that reaches to the ground room one of my top shelves. For this reason it does get used a lot, and the soft fibres seem to make it more appealing to climb, particularly for mice which are at first scared of not being attached at bot ends.
The rope also says it is chocolate flavoured. I could smell this to start with, but I’m not sure it enticed the mice at all - probably a marketing ploy to let them sell it for more! However after a couple of washes there wasn’t even a whiff, so a bit pointless.
My major grouch with these is the clip. It is FAR too big to fit into 1cm bars. It is also too stiff to clip onto the bars, and even if I could get it on, I’m unsure as to if it could be removed. So instead there is plant cable wire tied onto the top of the clip.
