Vitakraft’s corn & fruit sticks consist of a mixture of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and honey covering a wooden core, attached to a wire loop for hanging in a cage.

Pros:
The corn & fruit sticks were, on the whole, a huge hit with my spiny mice, who spent a good few days and quite a lot of effort trying to get every last nibble out of them. When hung up high from the top of the cage, a treat stick is not only a nice change from the usual food mix but is also an excellent motivator for a bit of stretching and exercise.

Cons:
Like many other treat sticks, Vitakraft’s corn & fruit sticks use honey as a binding agent, and with dried fruit as well, it makes for a rather sugary treat and not something I would like to feed very often at all. Also, my spiny mice left a lot of the seeds behind and refused to eat them, so there’s also some wastage.

Overall:
I think treat sticks are, in general, a brilliant idea and I would definitely recommend them as an occasional extra, but I won’t be buying these sticks in particular again as I’d prefer something that didn’t contain so much sugar and also didn’t use ingredients that my spiny mice won’t eat. Your mice may vary, though.
