My mice love this food. Have tried a few different brands and this has been the most successful. My mice all look lovely on it with nice shiny coats. It is also not too fattening so they stay ‘mouse-shaped’ which is best for mine as one is prone to weight problems. It is the only mix I have tried where every piece of it has gone when I come to feed them.

My mice love eating this and stay healthy because of it! It comes in a medium sized pack and although it isn’t the biggest it does last ages. They eat most of it happily but there are a few little dark coloured bits they tend to leave, and I find that a bit disappointing so that’s why I gave it an 8, but on the whole, an excellent product that I will buy again and again!

I have been feeding this product for a while and have noticed that my mice have developed greasy coats, lethargy and pale green stools. Also my mice leave a lot of wastage with this food. I also had a bad experience with this product as when I opened it and tipped it into a large food bin, loads of maggots and larvae came tumbling out. I do not like Supreme Reggie Rat because it doesn’t even smell appetizing and have changed it to my own mix, as I know what exactly is in it. Only one week after changing the food my mice are getting their smooth coats back, are active again and their poo seems a lot firmer and darker in colour. So it’s a great big thumbs down for me, I wouldn’t feed it even if it was free! Seriously there are better products out there and although Reggie Rat seems to be in every shop imaginable I would rather pay more and be sure that my mice were getting optimum food for better health. In my opinion the manufacturer has spent more money on the product packaging than the product itself. I would give Supreme Reggie Rat a 1 out of 10 and that’s being generous.

Reggie rat food seems to get dissed a lot, but I have always fed my mice and rats this food. Since learning that it might not be nutritionally complete, I now mix it with a couple of other rat foods. The mice absolutely love it! They seem healthy on it. It does seem to have a lot of coloured biscuits in, that’s another reason I now mix it with a seedier mix!
