This is a lovely little house for mice and my mice love it. The packaging says it is 100% edible and it’s quite right. They chew it all from the straw roof to the actual house. Admittedly the straw roof only lasted a week but there is a good frame underneath. It is just the right size for about 3 mice as well. It is well crafted but that doesn’t stop the mice eating it to bits. I am very pleased with it and so are my meeces!

I’m always buying new things for my mice (they are so spoilt!!!) and some have proved popular and others not so much. However, my mice got very excited when I put the Snak Shak into their cage. They immediately started pulling the straw roof to pieces and it was completely destroyed after three days. There were pieces of it all over their cage. The base of the Shak is similar to a hollowed out tree trunk and it’s completely edible. I must admit the mice don’t seem too interested in eating it. From time to time, they have a nibble, but they mostly enjoy sitting inside and climbing on it. I saw a bigger version in Harrods today, which would be suitable for a rat or hamster. It’s available online too. I will definitely buy the Snak Shak again, as it’s reasonably priced, lasts a while (except the roof!) and the mice love it.
