This comes in a pack you put together to make a seesaw, the idea being that your critters not only play on it, but it is safe and good for gnawing on too, keeping your pet’s teeth trim and in good shape as the box says!
However, I have not been that impressed with this product. For a start, it comes with glue, but in the packet I bought, the glue had gone hard. As I am not keen to use any other glue, in case the one I use is not suitable for my mice, every time I need to move the seesaw, it falls apart! The box does not come with instructions, actually that kind of adds to the fun of trying to put it together, but when you have new mice and are DESPERATE to get the cage set up perfectly for them, it’s a little frustrating to work out how their toys go together! Also the mice do not really seem to enjoy playing on the seesaw that much, at first it spooked them! Every time they stood on it, it moved, and they would run off pretty quickly! They have now taken to sleeping under it, but I haven’t seen them actually use it as its intended to be used! Yes, they gnaw it, but a branch from a suitable tree would provide that for free!!
I would not buy this product again, and give it 5/10. Good points are that it looks good, it’s a natural product, it is made from wood grown from a sustainable source, but to be honest, my mice have got more fun out of the free cardboard box they came home from the shop in! It does look good in the cage, and is more attractive than the box, but in my opinion, not worth the £3.50 I paid for it.
