This is a classic age-old model cage and is a decent size, whilst still being small enough to keep in convenient spaces. The bars on the cage are powder-coated and incredibly thick and strong which eliminates the chance of mice flexing the bars to escape, which has been known. The doors fasten securely and similarly the whole cage fits securely onto the base tray. The base tray is a little shallow but it’s not too bad, the shelves are removable (slide-out) which makes the cage easy to keep clean.
HOWEVER, the design of the way the cage fits onto the base involves hooking the bars over some clips both sides to eliminate gaps and then clipping it down outside which can be a little tricky. Therefore, it’s easy to not quite manage to do it right and end up with gaps just about big enough for mice to squeeze out of where the bars meet the base tray. The access to the inside of the cage is also fairly limited, having only two pretty small doors at opposite ends and almost the same height.
All in all though, this cage is a brilliant value, sturdy model and mine is still going 5+ years after I bought it with no sign of rust or rot, and still being fully functional. I would give it an 8 out of 10, although I personally would be hesitant to buy again mainly due to cage access.

This is an ok cage for the money. I found it difficult to clean as the door access means you can’t reach the top shelf properly even though the shelves are supposed to slide out but I find that they are very difficult to slide back in. It is a solid cage and all the clips hold securely. The base is very shallow and I often have substrate thrown out. It comes with a wheel and house but both are not really suitable for mice. If you are on a budget and need a spare cage I would say go for this cage but be warned that the bars are plastic coated and it soon wears off. I have had mine for two years now and it is still solid.
