This cage in my opinion, is excellent for housing mice in. It`s bar width is a mere 1cm, it`s plastic base is 3″ inches high, so not too tall and the mouse/mice can see over it and a water bottle is easily positioned just above the base at a good height for mice to reach.

The cage has a white coated barred upper section and has an access door half way up the front of the cage and another same sized door on top of the cage. It has metal ladders which access the upper level with a small feeding dish placed firmly in the corner of the upper level.

This cage has everything a mouse needs. Good floor space, climbing height and good ventilation. You can add tubes to the inside of the cage with cable ties to add more interest and give the mice another way to reach the upper level. The cage has many attractive features for mice and I cannot fault it. If I had to pick a fault in the cage, it would be to have the front door lower down, but if you have mice who climb out when you open the door, then perhaps the higher door is a good thing! But overall access is good and the whole wire top lifts off for cleaning purposes.

Would I buy the cage again? Well I now have three! My rating for this cage as suitable for mice is 10 out of 10. I would recommend this as my personal choice as the perfect mouse cage.

Place Purchased: From a friend, though on ebay and other pet shops etc
Price: Around £25
Score: 10/10

Really dont have a bad thing to say about this cage, its fantastic. Easy to clean, easy to hang toys on, brilliant floor space for bowls etc as well as a nice sized shelf. The only bad thing I think i have to point out is the small doors, makes access a bit hard, yet apart from that its fantastic. These cages can be found on ebay really cheap now, and are great for a small group of bucks or doe’s. The bars are great for hanging hammocks and other things, and it offers brilliant space and ventilation for the mice. Bar spacing is 1cm, so maybe not so good for your tiny mousies, but any others yes. This cage is a MUST BUY, and i would certainly purchase one again!

This has to be the perfect mouse cage (almost). Its reasonably large but not giant. It is a barred cage, therefore allowing great ventilation and lots of room to add hammocks and things. It has a dinky wee shelf that slots in and out quite eaily (making cleaning out less of a fankle). The bars are 1cm wide which means that it is suitable for most mice, excluding proven escape-artists and young ‘uns. The cage can also be bought fairly cheaply off of places such as ebay. I would recommend this cage to any mouse owner and I’d certainly buy it again.

As a first time mouse owner this cage is great. It is reasonably cheap to buy and spacious… and most importantly the bars are small enough to contain the occupants! The bar design of this cage means that customising this cage is easy and although it does look a little plain, once it has accessories, it looks fab! Although it does need some extra shelves adding and a mouse ladder is essential as the tube is too difficult for most mice to climb. However the only real negative aspect is the access points - though there are two doors (one in the roof and one on the side) reaching the second level was often difficult as was the cleaning of that level. the plastic base is easy to wipe clean.

This is a brilliant cage. It may be hard to get the shelf in and out but once everything is in place it’s really sturdy. The one I got came with a tube and large wheel which are both pretty good. It has a nice tray as well: not too deep and not too shallow. The label may say “for rats” but it is definitely a better mouse cage. The only bad thing I can say about it is it’s a little too expensive. Very Happy
